The rooms are definitely much bigger than those similiar class we stayed in during our previous 4 trips tp Kyoto. The rooms are cleaned with a mixed touch of modernity and traditional Japanese elements. So it gives you a different feel. The public bath facilitiy is a feather on the cap as it provides you with an additional venue to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The service here was top notch. I made this comment as we stayed in a five stars hotel in Osaka before Kyoto and the service at this five star hotel was way below a three stars such as Emion Hotel. In fact i find Emion Hotel should belongs to a four stars hotel category. Location......dont expect to walk to Gion or any attractions. However, the hotel is linked to a train station which is only one stop away from Kyoto Station. Eventhough we drive, we parked our car near the hotel and took a taxi to everywhere and it is pretty affordable. We dont drive because parking in Gion or attractions will kill you.

This place was incredible! Couldn't ask for more, the rooms were big, the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and very clean and modern. Also the price was very reasonable for what we got. We kept thinking wow I can't believe we could afford this place since it was cheaper than some hostel's we stayed at in Tokyo. Also the roof terrace was beautiful ❤️ and there are 24hr vending machines downstairs with drinks, snacks, ice cream and beer which we used all the time. Also the room had a large TV with YouTube and a ton of info about the hotel. Like there's a channel that shows which washing machines are available and how long they have left til they're finished which was super useful Also it would play these bgm tracks that we thought were really funny.

The location is the most convenient for you to go watch fish auction in the early morning (start at 5am, Wednesday and Sunday closed) at the back of the hotel. There is information & visitor area specially for it which is very near to the hotel. (have to walk out from the side door 1st floor of the hotel to the visitor area at 5am) The staff is friendly and kind. 4 people room is quite spacey and comfy. There are 2 wash basins, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet (all separately) in the room. It is easy to go between JR station and the hotel. The onsen is quite nice. And there is rooftop area for viewing the panorama scenery of the city. There is also a 7-11 convenient store nearby. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious!

The hotel is very new, very clean. The location is very close to the train station. It’s only one metro stop away from main Kyoto Station. The room is very spacious for 4 of us. Bathroom has separate toilet, shower, wash/brush area so 2-3 people can share at the same time. Lots of amenities in the room: coffee, tea, slippers, PJs, combs, toothbrushes etc. Sauna, jacuzzi, hot & cold water bath on 3rd floor. Hotel also gave out free welcome drink coupons and shopping/dinning coupons, which we used to eat in one the restaurants in the hotel. This is one of the best hotels we stayed so far, for a very reasonable price.

The breakfast was excellent variety of western and Japanese selections and excellent value. The beds were very comfortable and nice sheets. The bathroom “extras” such as hair brush toothbrush/paste and face creams etc were appreciated. The heating and air in rooms perfect. The spa facilities amazing with everything you’d need and very clean. My first experience of Japanese’s public spa and I loved it.
