I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Emion Kyoto! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant and modern design, which perfectly blended Japanese aesthetics with contemporary comfort. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests, making the experience truly seamless. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of comfort and functionality. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the amenities provided were of high quality. I particularly loved the large bath area, which was a wonderful way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Dining at the hotel was also a highlight—breakfast was a delightful mix of Japanese and Western options, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the dining area was calm and inviting, making it a great way to start the day. Overall, Hotel Emion Kyoto exceeded my expectations in every way. The impeccable service, beautiful interiors, and luxurious comfort made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Kyoto!

Good location: Just one station away (or a 25-minute walk) from the JR Kyoto Station. The hotel is about a block from the JR Umekōji-Kyōtonishi Station on the JR Sagano Line (the same line that takes riders to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove). It is also close to the Kyoto Aquarium, which is near a bus stop to catch a number of buses to major tourist areas (e.g., Downtown Kyoto, Gion, and Kinkaku-ji/Golden Pavilion). The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor. The lower floors have restaurants and shops, including a shop that sells traditional sweets. There is a 7-Eleven next door, as well as a bakery and a ramen shop a bit farther down the street. Excellent breakfast: We were big fans of the buffet! Pork curry, a cold eggplant dish, corn soup, fresh tofu, juicy oranges and other fresh fruits, matcha-dusted mochi with brown sugar syrup, etc. were all favorites. The staff were unfailingly polite, and one member in particular exuded warmth and made us feel welcome every morning. Spacious, clean, and quiet room. Comfortable beds. Nice pajamas. Thoughtful to provide tote bags to guests, especially those who take advantage of the public bath.

This place was incredible! Couldn't ask for more, the rooms were big, the beds were comfy, the bathrooms were great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and very clean and modern. Also the price was very reasonable for what we got. We kept thinking wow I can't believe we could afford this place since it was cheaper than some hostel's we stayed at in Tokyo. Also the roof terrace was beautiful ❤️ and there are 24hr vending machines downstairs with drinks, snacks, ice cream and beer which we used all the time. Also the room had a large TV with YouTube and a ton of info about the hotel. Like there's a channel that shows which washing machines are available and how long they have left til they're finished which was super useful Also it would play these bgm tracks that we thought were really funny.

My family of four (two tweens) stayed in the superior quadruple which was perfect. The beds were so comfortable and we had enough room for three nights. Public transport in Kyoto was easy - we were one local train stop away from the Shinkansen arrival and an easy bus into the main area of Kyoto. We were a little far away from the bustle (where I usually like to stay) but we didn’t feel inconvenienced and we like to walk. We had landed to doing the Disney’s so we didn’t mind the slower pace. It is a quiet area though. Good coffee in easy reach and a 7/11 next door. Two of us couldn’t use the onsen but we didn’t mind. Oh and the facial products provided were a bonus.

It was big enough for our family of 6, with young kids too. We stayed in a quadruple room and found it was spacious enough for our length of stay. It was clean and comfortable. Loved that it was close to the train station which is a stop away from main bustling Kyoto station. It was quiet where we were which made it comfortable for us. The public onsen was amazing! I love that they had a separate one for women only too, and it was so clean. Laundry room with coin operators came in handy. There are shops and restaurants nearby too with 7/11 30seconds away.
